Before you apply ELEFFECT, use The Wash by ELEFFECT to cleanse the skin. Then combining the ELEFFECT exfoliating glove over your whole body to remove existing tan and banish dead skin. (Pay special attention to between fingers, toes, knees and heels). This buff and polish will ensure even application and result in a longer lasting tan. Babes if you need to wax any areas make sure you do so 24hrs prior to applying tan.
Moisturiser, deodorant and perfume will affect the application of tan to your skin. Only apply ELEFFECT to clean skin.
Always use the ELEFFECT mitt to apply your tan. Start with a small amount of product on the mitt and always make sure you blend the product into your skin so it looks natural.
Start with one even application and build to your desired tan depth. Thin layers dry quickly and allow you to control your desired colour.
Hands and feet should be the last areas apply to. Use the excess tan on your mitt for this and remember to blend between fingers and toes. These areas soak up the tan so don’t go overboard and you will have a bronzed, natural looking body.
The ELEFFECT Tan Mousse is designed to give the perfect glow to your face as well as body. Start in the middle of your face and then blend out to your jaw line. Don’t forget to apply to your neck also. The Aloe juice in the ELEFFECT will keep your skin extra hydrated.
At ELEFFECT HQ we sleep in our tan, this gives maximum development time and it dries immediately after application, so don’t worry about ruining your linen. If a speedy tan is required it can be washed off after 4 hours. When showering off, do not use any soap or shower gels, rinse the tan with water and pat your tan dry with a towel. Your tan will remain perfect for longer if you don’t have long hot showers or baths.
Moisture is key to prolonging a great tan so moisturise morning and night with a thick cream. Avoid body oils as they remove ELEFFECT.
Naturally your tan will fade we like to reapply to our face every three days especially in winter!
Lastly, the best night of the week is tan night!
Always exfoliate using The Wash by ELEFFECT and the ELEFFECT exfoliating mitt prior to tanning. Your skin should be clean and fresh before each application. Pay extra attention to knees, elbows and ankles where tan can create build up.
Blast yourself with cold water at the end of the shower to ensure that pores are closed.
Dry yourself thoroughly to ensure no water remains.
Don’t moisturise before tanning!
Apply tan all over body following the Application Process above.
Wait 6-8 hours for tan to develop in to the perfect golden glow.
To maintain the perfect tan, moisturise daily and repeat the above steps once a week. Face can be topped up every 2 – 3 days.
Shake bottle well. Ensure skin
is exfoliated, clean and dry.
Don’t moisturise before tanning.
Pump the tanning mousse on to your
ELEFFECT tanning mitt and apply.
Apply in circular sweeping motions.
Start with your legs and work your way
up the body.
Use the remaining residue on your mitt and lightly blend over your hands and feet. Don’t forget to go in between your fingers and toes.
Wait until touch dry before repeating steps 2 and 3 for a deeper tan. Avoid water for 4 – 8 hours.
For the best ELEFFECT, leave on for 8 hours or more before showering off to reveal the ultimate sun-less tan that smells like roses.
